Through the Years

We covered all the decades from 1910-1990. We learned a lot about each decade, but I think the girls loved the dress ups the most. I had clothes that were worn in each decade and the girls got to wear them while they told about their assigned decade, then they enjoyed switching dresses several times.
I had a bag full of objects that were made or played with or watched in each decade and the girls took turns pulling them out and deciding which decade it came from. I think they were surprised to find that many of their favorite toys and movies came from a very long time ago. It was a fun night and hopefully they learned something!

Police Station

The girls enjoyed their evening at the Police station. They all got finger printed, then got their eyes scanned. They got a fun bag of prizes, got to check out the shooting range, and every one's favorite was the police dog! Officer Meddler did a great job with the girls and taught them about being safe especially when out selling Girl Scout cookies.

There is a dog under all those girls, good thing he was nice-

Ice Skating

I had so much fun skating with the Girls on Saturday. They were great to stay by each other and help each other out when they would fall. We also enjoyed some yummy treats and making ornaments.

Gingerbread Houses

A big Thank You to Ashlyn's Grandmother for the beautiful gingerbread houses, people, trees, and mini sleds she made for the Girl Scouts to decorate. They turned out so cute!!!

Face Painting and hair

Abby and her mom demonstrated to the girls how to do a braid and a bun, then the girls got to practice on each other. Some of those girls are pretty darn good at hair! After lots of hair play the girls were able to explore face painting. I gave no instructions, just paired them up, gave them the paints and let them go at it. Everyone was really into it and we have some great little artists. Sorry if you had to scrub your child's face when they got home. :)
