Albertsons

The girls had a fun tour of Albertsons yesterday. They got to see the giant ovens, the freezers, the pharmacy, they talked about all the nutritious foods and got to see a squid up close. At the end they got a certificate for a free apple, they were very excited to go through the checkout line to get their apples.

We had to take a short break and play Simon says because the manager and our tour guide had to escort out a drunken man that was pushing people-lovely I know. Don't worry I moved the girls all the way to the other side of the store during this time.

Planting Flowers

The girls decorated their little planters with jewels, stickers, and glitter. They filled them with dirt, put in their seeds and gave them a little water. Each girl gave their own seed a good little start, now they have to rely on each other to keep them going. Each girl will get a turn to take all 11 plants and take good care of them for a few days.

Yesterday we also drew secret pals, bring your gift back for the girl you picked on May 4th.

Rock Climbing

The Rock Climbing night was a blast! For some of the girls this was very scary and difficult but they all tried many times and faced their fears. I was very proud of all the girls! Some of the girls zipped up to the top of the wall like they were professional climbers. It was a fun night!

Movie Night

We went to see How to Train Your Dragon in 3D. The girls had a fun time at the theatre even if some of them were plugging their ears, hiding their faces, and not wanting to wear their 3D glasses. ;)

Hospital

The girls had a great time touring the hospital. The OB nurses were very pleased with the baby blankets. The girls got to see all the neat things used in the labor and delivery rooms (there were no babies at the time so they let them come back). They loved seeing all the neat stuff used for new babies and had lots of questions. They all went home with a preemie size diaper. Giving the blankets earned them their rose colored petal-Making the world a better place. And they will also get a patch for the hospital tour.

No More Cookies

We had our second cookie booth sale Saturday morning. We were done by 11:00. Thanks for everyone's help!!! I have two boxes to mail off to the troop and then I have 6 boxes of tagalongs and 1 box of trefoils left-so if you hear of anyone who wants them let me know!!!

I want to get all our money turned in next week, so if you haven't turned in your cookie money to me please bring it to next weeks activity (Tuesday @ the hospital), or bring it by my house!

PineWood Derby Races

The girls had a great time racing their very cute cars Friday night. (sorry about the change of location and the late night). Our troop did awesome!!! Cali's car won best of show with her awesome purple paint job. Maddie's car got first place, Josey's car came in second. And the other cars did wonderfully!!! I think that was a good experience for the girls to make these special cars with their dads

Ice Skating Party

The girls had a great time skating last night. For a lot of the girls it was their first time on the ice and others were skating around like pros. But I think everyone had fun!
