Flag Ceremony

The girls were so darn cute as 3 and 4 of them tried to hold up those giant flags and carry them to the front. They did a wonderful job being quiet and respectful. It was short and sweet and I think a good and new experience for them.
Good Job Girl Scouts! I'm very proud of you!

Parade of Lights...

or The Parade of Icy Coldness! Who's idea was it anyway to have a parade in December?

I apologize first off about the freezing cold little girls and the disorganization of drop off and pick up. I had never been to this parade and I was only given minimal instructions. The girls started out all smiles and happy, but we had some frozen little girls by the end of the parade. I think we will stick with the Summer parades from now on. Next December I think our troop should get together in a nice warm place, drink hot cocoa, and have a party while everyone else sits on the float!
Tell the girls that I promise the rest of our winter events will be nice and warm. :)

Fire Station

The girls had a fun time at the fire station on Tuesday. They learned a lot about Fire Station 3 and Fire Safety. They earned their Respect Authority Daisy Petal.
"The fire suite is like carrying a 40 pound kid on your back."

Everyone was very interested in the heat sensor-
