Making Shirts

For one of the try-it patches the girls had to create their own shirt. I think they turned out pretty cute! Thanks Cammie for showing them what to do!

Girl Scouts on Main

The girls had a fun time dancing with the Polka band, playing tag, eating their spaghetti dinner, making smores, and eating way to much candy.

Backyard Campout

I really had a great time with these lovely ladies! I thought all our schedule changes would make it hard for people to come but we ended up with 12 girls-only two had to miss.
We started the night off with hot dogs, watermelon, grapes, chips, jello, etc. Next we headed to the grassy area of Westridge to play some games. We played, 'dress for the weather.' I had grown up Fall, Winter, and Summer clothes and we did relays were the girls had to put on all the clothes and run to the next person. It was pretty hilarious to watch the girls run in giant shows and baggy swimsuits!! I was laughing my head off!
On our walk there and back we looked for unique pieces of nature and later made a picture out of the things we found. When we got back to my house it was dark and Andy had got the fire going-the girls were so excited! We roasted marshmallows and made s'mores. We looked at the stars and apparently I am not very good and finding constellations besides the big dipper.
Once we got in the tent, my husband surprised everyone with a giant dancing shadow; there was a lot of screams followed by more laughter (I'm sure my neighbors loved it). Each girl got a turn to tell a shadow story and any other story they wanted to share. I think I got them all asleep by about 12:30 or 1.
Going to bed late did not hinder them from waking up at 6am. All the girls were super helpful with making pancakes, cinnamon rolls, and setting out all the other food.
All the girls were great and got along wonderfully!!!
